Far Out keeps very little about you. This page says exactly what, and who else is involved. It was last updated on 28 October 2026.
Your games stay on your device
Your words, results, streak and stats are saved in your own browser, using its local storage. They are not sent anywhere (apart from the single count described below), and the game has no accounts and sets no cookies. Clearing your browser’s site data for this site deletes them.
Counting finished games
When you finish the daily word, the game adds one to a tally kept on the website host. It sends only the game’s number and the rank you reached (for example, “#12” and “Voyager”). It doesn’t send your words, your score, a name or any identifier, and it uses no cookies. Practice rounds aren’t counted. The tally lets the developer see roughly how many people play and how far they get.
If you send feedback
The feedback form sends what you type, the topic you chose, today’s game number and, only if you add it, your email address. It goes through Web3Forms, a form service, which delivers it to the developer’s inbox. Web3Forms handles it under its own privacy policy.
It is used to read your message and to reply if you left an email address. It isn’t shared or used for anything else. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
The website host
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, it receives technical details with each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the page and keep it secure. Far Out doesn’t use that information to identify or follow players.
No ads or tracking
At the moment there are no ads, no analytics services and no tracking cookies. The finished-game tally above is the only thing counted. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first to say what is added and who provides it.
Your rights
If you are in Ireland or elsewhere in the EU or UK, you can ask what feedback of yours is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Send a message with Send feedback under the game and say what you’d like. Far Out is run by an independent developer, who is the person who reads that inbox.
